*Unfortunately we do not have full information about huge salmon caught during the last weeks of the season, as camp manager who kept statisics was absent for valid reason.

Final report about 2012 fishing season at Sidorovka Paradise Tented camp, nested on the Sidorovka river, written by Camp Manager Ilya Skorniakov.

Staff of the camp arrived early in June and immediately set about annually festive procedure of setting up the Camp. We did it rather quickly and efficiently, so that we won some time for river testing.  That time water level was normal - not very high as in spring, but also not very low, which we were a bit afraid of. There were little snow in winter and we were afraid to see the desert. However, waders seemed to be needless. So having  put on training shoes and taken the rod I went to Lower Aquarium pool. I decided to try Sunray Shaddow. First cast in the next breath coming out of the fish. Second cast with a strip, surf and further follows standard description of power, beauty and hardiness of the fish, backing and so on and so forth. 91cm, female salmon was landed. The very first fish caught in the season 2012. Could it be alone? So I went to Valley Pool. I tied up the Shrimp fly and cast. The fish was not late in coming. The dead spit to previous one the same weight, size, sex. Lets end up with testing the river, its time to go back to the camp.
So to say WELCOME! Its exactly welcome, as the first group  is from Spain, and they will hardly understand our Russian Dobro pozhalovat!. In a couple of days they arrived by helicopter. This group refers to the category of guests we were here, we know everything. By the way its always pleasure to meet guests whom you know and who knows you, though the same as new people. Not really brief welcome speech, as to the standard phrases about river, camp and fish were added purely friendly questions about family and so on and so forth.
The weather was absolutely June, it means with snow lying here and there and proper air temperature and there were fish in the river!!! Guys caught 31 salmon, among them 3 samples over 20lbs. Jesus caught the biggest one, 103cm, at Upper Aquarium. It should be noticed that usually first groups dont visit Shithouse, because fish does not reach it by that time and lower pools are rather productive. Like true Spanish guys, they couldnt arrive without Jamón and we relished this wonderwork of meat industry!! They flew away but promised to come back!
First group had scarcely got into the helicopter when new guests arrived again old familiar faces Alexey, Igor, Igor, Eduard and new team member Dmitry, who afterwards made a short film about their trip. And again its such a pleasure to meet old friends and get acquainted with positively deposed new guests. However, now we use Dobro pozhalovat! (welcome in Russian) and extended Hello!!! Smooth transition to the fishing. As soon as Dmitry had reached the river, he landed nice salmon at Aquarium pool, and just after this he caught another one and what a salmon 102cm!!! Dont forget that hes a beginner!!! Later this week Igor Kurakov landed his 104cm salmon. Some fishermen were not so lucky in the beginning, but finally everyone caught his fish. Later it turned out that if you are short of luck then in almost everything. Unlucky Alexey managed to lose his reel, which was found in a month by the staff of the camp and sent to the owner. But persistency triumphed. Alexey turned into a Lucky man and anyway landed a couple of fish closer to the end of the week! Igor Valeev and Eduard also landed a few ones.
This week also came to its end and helicopter brought to us our good Norwegian friends, silent record-holders of the Sidorovka river in number of trophy salmon caught. Old friends  were at full strength as a year before. Nor do they need any explanations; they are more likely to explain something to you.  The only task to hold them at Camp at least for breakfast or dinner! And again welcoming speech and talks as with old friends, heartily, in a family way. They are as pleased as I am, it seems. Thats it, and they break into a run. If one part of the team went to the Shithouse in the morning the rest  went to the sea. After dinner they change and those who were on the sea run to the Shithouse. I underline run, as to get from Camp to the Shithouse for 45 minutes you need to run! They walk a lot, that is why they have great results. In the end they landed 40 salmon, 4 of them over 20lbs, the biggest one 110cm!!! By the way the smallest fish of the week was about 6kg! But its time to say goodbye. Øystein and guys congratulated me with upcoming birthday and flew away.
Short break for some cleaning and Hello, dear guests from Finland! For some of them river wasnt new and they fished according to their system. During the day they slept and at night they fished. Although weather was almost the same, clients wish is our command. So after breakfast everybody was going to sleep! However, after dinner everyone went fishing. In such mode guys caught 20 salmon, among them were samples of 101cm, 103cv and 106cm. By the way 106cm salmon was caught by Janne Pesonen, who not only made a good execution of Rat Tail pool, but crushed Russian national hockey team in 2011 as a member of national Finnish team. But its time for them to leave.
By the arrival of the next group Tinda(grilse) entered the river. Some guys did not fish very hard, and devoted themselves to the observation of charming tundra and canyon. The rest fished in earnest, but unfortunately they were off their luck, although each of them caught his fish. Perhaps, somebody was waiting for more, but this is fishing and weather was also very hot and prevented good results. In the evening some staff members were examining the book about fishing in ancient times, presented by Andrey Kovtun. By reading it, the week came to its end.
It was time for the team from St. Petersburg, consisting of Dmitry, Konstantin, Anton and Valera. Valera managed to get to the camp only with the third attempt, so that was his first time being here and it turned to be the long one (it was very rainy and foggy, that is why helicopter did fly for 2 days). Only 4 fishermen in the group happy hunting-ground! Welcoming dinner, talking about nothing. Well, lets go fishing!!!! They knew the river, so everybody went to his pool. Konstantin, for sure, went to his stone, which is now called cooks rock. Fishing was good. Griles prevailed, however, Anton managed to land 97cm sample at Giants Avenue pool, and this is almost 10kg. All pools from the sea to the famous house as much famous as its name were productive. So it was time to draw up the results. Last dinner. But it turned out that we would have to repeat it, as due to bad weather conditions guys had to spend on the river8 days!!!! Unfortunately these last two days did not bring trophies. Due to rains water level raised up to spring level, water became muddy and fish didnt hunt. But after rain stopped, the helicopter arrived and guys left the camp with the following result 36 salmon on 4 rods.
Lucky 4 Norwegian and 2 Spanish guests had only 4 days for fishing left. Without doubts they immediately jump into action. All of them came on advice of their friends, who had already been here. Despite small number of fishing days their result equaled to 43 salmon, and Xabier caught the biggest one in his life 97cm!
Afterwards hot Finnish fellows arrived. Two of them had already been here before and, of course, shared their experience with their friends. Brief rapid-fire questions and the battle. Sami and Jouni rushed to the Shithouse with overnight or overnights, the rest of the group spread over lower pools. Water had already become clear and its level sweet as in early summer! This team boiled the river!!! Five out of six fishermen caught their record fish 100, 103, 94, 98,100 and 114cm. The last mentioned is the  record size of the river Sidorovka! The new record level was landed at Gaints Avenue. Jani alone caught 24 salmon!!! Total of the week 56 salmon. Sooner or later any week comes to its end, so its time to say Goodbye.
The next group we met rather unusually on the fell-top over the canyon, due to the very bad windy weather conditions. So that adventures began straight away downhill to the canyon is a kind of extreme! On the other hand what a view from above, everything is spread before the eyes. The group split into two teams on the base of nationality the Slavs and the Finns. Language divide is not a barrier for the fishermen, so that evenings were spent in warm atmosphere. Fishing flow with varying success and resulted with the score: 21 against 12 in a win of the Slavs. However, the Finns caught 112cm salmon at Rat Tail!!! So that we can say that winners all around!
Next international group consisted of  Russians and one Danish guy. Its already the second arrival for the guests from Novosibirsk. The fishermen caught 21 salmon, which is rather good for August fishing.
Next week helicopter brought our friends from Bashkiria. Some of them came here for the first time. However, everyone from Ufa grouping caught his fish. Grand total - 26 salmon. Unfortunately its time for them to leave too. Again Goodbye!.
And we are looking for our Finnish friends, they are the next to arrive.
Thereon I have to break my recital about season 2013, as due to  some circumstances beyond my control I had to leave the Camp. That is why I once again make an apology to guests from Finland and Krasnodar (Russia). I can give only brief statistics of these two groups: The Finns 27 salmon, 2 of them over 100cm and Krasnodar team 51 Salmon, 11 of them over 100cm.
This year satisfied all good expectations and belied all fears regarding water level. Heaven-sent rain in July allowed to keep starting water level almost throughout the season, and water temperature generally stayed about +12C.
Summing up, For the whole season it was caught: 424 salmon, 1 flatfish, countless number of trout. Among them 34 salmon over 20lbs. For the whole season only one fishermen did not catch a salmon on Sidorovka river. And this is not so bad! Accept my apologize if I missed somebody in my report.
Thank you very much!
Its a great please not only to work with you but also be your friend!

Sincerely yours,
Camp Manager
Ilya Skorniakov
